redid my exhaust and downpipe

i ordered a bunch of stainless steal to have a custom full 3 inch exhaust made. i have been meaning to do this for some time, but the del sol kept getting put on the back burner. ive always had other projects to work on, and the exhaust was fine for the time being. well over a hard winter of dding, and now dealing with the heat took its toll. dont forget that this setup has lasted over 5 years. one of the welds on the downpipe failed and everyday it was getting worse and worse. once the piping and what not all came in, i then drove my car to Nocturnal Motorworks to have Omar make me a new exhaust. i had him cut right below the dump tube as a starting point. anyways on with the pictures...

this is the years of damage the flex pipe and flange took. i knew this had a small leak for a while but no fucks were given.

this is what made me pull the trigger. i had to get it fixed before it fell off. yes, i could have just gotten it welded up and on the road again in no time. i just figured it was time to get the exhaust i have been meaning to get.

pretty bad

old downpipe and exhaust front shot. the first setup i cut the piping and marked what i wanted welded together at some welding place off hwy44. when i mocked it up it all looked good, but in the end once i got it back it sat a little low. i went with the 'itll be fine' attitude to get the car on the road again.

old exhaust piping. there is about a foot or so of 3 inch then the greddy piping witch is 2.5 or 2.75 or something.

all in all i love it. it is super quiet when cruising around. having a turbo helps lol. 1600-1800 is the sweet spot, 5th gear around 35mph never sounded so good. once over 5000 its a little louder than before but its a deeper more angry sounding tone. can i tell a hp difference? no, but i knew getting rid of the bottle neck would only help.

plus one, exhaust is very tight to the bottom of the car and looks well made but we all know what omar can do with metal. got a new front and rear shot?

yeah i wish i give it more. the thing is though unlike my other cars that have come and gone, ive had this car since 2004. that is a long time now a days. i still plan on keeping it. as of more love, ive also been thinking it time to upgrade the coilovers. maybe next bonus week at work. then again i might buy wheels for the other car. i think most of us know what will probably happen here.

omar does great work. he did have a helping hand by danger dan. dan has always like my car, but now omar even told me he likes it. that was before he started working on it too. omar even stood up for it as some of the drift kids came in his shop talking down on it. we all know how they love hondas, lol.

not so sure about what you mean with the new front and rear shot. they look the same as before if im getting what youre getting at. i have a front bumper view picture posted and the rear still looks the same as it did. ive had the same greddy evo 2 muffler since like 06. damn thing still works.

ok i didnt know if it was tighter to the body then the last down pipe?
