Progress of my S2000

Post by 00siandrew »

Few updates on page 2. Thank you for looking and please leave feedback, comments, and advice.
I wanted to start a new thread showing the progress I make on my S2000. It will be slow, but it will happen.

First things first was to "fix: the nasty body damage:

Turned into:

Then finally:

Before/After:

It is pretty by no means, but it is exponentially better than what was there. I am no professional when it comes to body work and this was my first attempt at anything like it. For only spending 30 dollars on supplies though I am satisfied for now. Let me know what you think, positive and negative alike!

Well if he can make it look that good! I would rather have oem then aftermarket. Fitment wise. However if it was an aftermarket panel since it was in that accident forever ago. Then replacement could very depending on where the part was gotten from. Should look pretty good after he is done and cleans it up.
You can talk shit all you want! eventually noone will care about your input. :yo:

No it's not too expensive. 250 from Majestic but I also need a bumper which is 250. 500 plus having it painted and installed correctly versus the 30 dollars I spent in bondo, sand paper, and spray paint from autozone. Yeah it took a while but it was fun. I like working on cars and I wanted to see what I could do with that fender. Of course ideally I would have the close to 1,000 dollars laying around to have it fixed properly, but the experience was fun. It's not perfect, but I'm proud of it and I can say "look how it used to look...I made it look like this in my garage" haha.

Thanks man. I've seen some of your posts lately. Don't lose inspiration on your car. You've got a beautiful car and should keep going on it. Did you ever call GEICO?

That's exactly it...it's not good, but not bad either haha. Thanks.

Thanks man, I'm going to clean it today or tomorrow and will post pictures of that. My girlfriend and I are going to her home on Tablerock lake for the holdiay weekend and I really wanted to take this car. I wanted it to better for that weekend especially so I worked fast while still trying to pay attention to detail so it turned out well.

That is awesome work. You can't beat the $30 price tag.
