New DD, replacing the Versa
I read your earlier post about how these cars share so many similarities with the evo. Guess this is one of those similarities.

Sorry about the quick reply earlier.
Everybody seems to rave about these Blox shift knobs. I honestly couldnt tell you the last time I bought replacement, ive always just used the stock one. Supposedly the one I ordered is on severe back order, and every vendor I talked to said 2-3 month wait. So I tried ordering it straight from Blox. And one of the vendors that works with Blox said they only got about 8-10 of them in their last shipment, and since it was too small to fill any vendor orders, they would just go ahead and do the couple that ordered them from the actual Blox website, and I was one of those few. So I lucked out there.
A couple people have blown up their transmissions. Of the 3 I can think of, 2 were bone stock, and one was doing about 450hp. So I dont think its a common issue. But as soon as you get rid of the dual mass flywheel, you can hear the gears pretty loud during engine braking, or if you are at low rpm and slowly accelerating. Most people get rid of it by doing Redline Shockproof fluid. I was worried about how cold our winter would be at the time, so I only did the Redline MT85. I plan on switching it to Shock proof probably within the next month or so.
Like I said, I love the car, but it does kinda suck its a Hyundai. But my buddy has had his 2011 Sonata for over a year now, and I love cruising in that thing, so I was around a nice hyundai for a long time before I got this. And I guess it helps, me and none of my friends have ever owned one previously, so I dont have a bad taste in my mouth from a 20 year old piece of shit one. lol

Hyundai has seemed to improve the quality of their vehicles. I've had little personal experience with them but what I have had hasn't been terrible. I drove a Santa Fe quite a bit at my previous job and actually enjoyed it. I know the motor in that was actually Mitsubishi design and build. Tons of power for what it was but leaked coolant with only 70k miles on it.
My boss at that job bought a 4 door Genesis with the 4.6L and I only rode in it once. The car seemed to have great get up and go and rode as smoothly as any bmw or mercedes I had ever been in. He had some issues with the battery dieng over night while in the garage and the back up camera cutting out, but every new car is going to have its issues to be worked out I suppose.

Not much of an update, new knob and spoiler showed up, those are both installed. Also ordered a new K&N filter, and tomorrow 5thgen on StlHondas, is going to redo a couple parts of my exhaust im still not happy about, and he ordered some aluminum to make me a new intake, but im not sure if it showed up yet.
Biggest current news, Tomorrow im going to be mailing out my module, so when it shows up next week, Ill check with Lowe on getting in for tuning, and Ill swap out the turbo and injectors a day or 2 before I can get in for tuning.

I cant believe how much more solid the shifts feel in this car with a heavy knob. Its a 490 grams compared to the stock 220. It feels amazing.

All the small vibrations are gone, and any small click you might of felt before is gone, so its just feels like a solid thud almost into each gear. My stock knob had a small metal ring around the shift pattern, and it was starting to pop up and was scratching the inside of my palm, and thats pretty damn annoying. After some research people raved about the Heavy weight knobs and Blox was at the top of the list, along with Flossy Knobs. So I decided to try it. All I can say is, I love it.
Im not sure if weighted knobs are a huge improvement on Hondas. I cant say I ever really cared, or looked into them before know. Its probably been over 10 years since I even ran a shift knob that wasnt OEM. lol
