Its a R Spec Genesis. I went to the dealership expecting to buy a 2011 Sonata, because my buddy has one and I really like them. Ive always liked the Genesis but never really put a ton of thought into getting one, until I saw they had a used one with only 10k miles, and it was in my price range.
Main Upgrades for the R Spec:
6-speed close-ratio manual transmission
Electronic Stability Control with Traction control, ABS, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Brake Assist
19-inch gunmetal-finish alloy wheels with staggered-width high-performance summer-compound Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires (225/40YR19 front, 245/40YR19 rear)
Brembo® braking system with 13.4-inch ventilated front rotors, 42mm four-piston fixed front calipers (red), 13.0-inch ventilated rear rotors, 32mm+28mm four-piston fixed rear calipers (red)
Track-tuned suspension (higher-rate coil springs, higher-control shock absorbers, 25mm front stabilizer bar, 22mm rear stabilizer bar, front strut brace)
Torsen-type limited-slip differential
Quick-ratio hydraulic steering (2.7 turns lock-to-lock)
All in all, I love it so far, and its a HUGE upgrade from the Versa. It will get tint probably in the next week or so, after that, im going to start seeing whats out there for basic upgrades as far as adding Hp. Theres a reflash available for $500 that supposedly adds 70wtq and 30whp. So Ill probably look into that. Stereo wise, not sure if im going to reuse my amp and subs, and diamonds I already have, or wait awhile, sell my stuff, and pick up some Hertz speakers, and zapco amps.
Oh well, heres a couple quick pics I took today.
