STLWagovan - TRYING, to be different...

So not much of an update, but i figure if i keep posting small updates it will keep me motivated.


Right now i am kinda stumped at wiring. I am sort of confused on this MPFI re wire. ( i know , its suppose to be stupid easy)


From what i can tell i need to run the "2 extra wires" from my ecu to the Driver side of the engine bay to hook up with the 2 extra injectors.

But that leaves me like 3 wires left over on the driver side engine connector from the motor that i dont know what to do with. Also the car side engine harness will now have a few wires left over as well.





And then do the few wires to the Passenger side engine connector for the distributor... But there is one plug from the engine that is left with no where to plug into. Do i just leave this off and not connected?




Lastly is the MAP sensor. So my D15 had the one on the fire wall, and now i have one on top of my Throttle body.
If i hook up the one on the throttle body, then i have a 2 wire connector just laying around with no where to go?
I assume i have to use the one on the engine, only makes sense to me, but then there are wires left over..





Honestly its kinda weird to have plugs and wires left over, but when i did my SR swap it was the same as well, i just hate to assume.

I am moving tonight and tomorrow to my new place, so i wont get back to this til sunday i think.

But if ANYONE can just say " hey stupid just hook it up" , or " yes you will have plugs left over" , or "hey, check out this write up"

i do believe this is the only things stopping me from driving this car and putting axels, radiator, hoses , etc on the car.

Ill figure this out, but i hate to assume and all the threads i have found are like from 05' 03' and the links dont work anymore. Boo hoo, i know.

edit: the two wire plug next to the map is for the purge cut solenoid its not needed you can remove it or leave it unplugged. there will also be one other extra plug that was for tandem valve control should have an orange wire on it.

So its been a minute..

But.

The car runs.. sorta. LOL.

I had it running, but it wouldnt turn off with the key removed.. So traced that problem down ( we think ) but now it starts and idles.



This is the first picture of it OUTSIDE of the garage since the B18 has been placed in the engine bay.

Currently the car is up at a buddys shop getting exhaust made for it, and having a once over before i try to legalize it...

SO! soon enough wagovan / tire hauler / daily driver will be running around STL. Fingers crossed its road worthy before September.

Dont ask why, i have no clue either. I was drunk one night, stared at her, and Rebecca came to mind..

Short Shifter ( kinda shitty)
