Reupholstered the driver seat in the GF's car

Post by Edison Carasio »

More than a few people around here know how to do this, but just for the newer kids who don't.

You don't have to roll around with ratty seats. This is from my girlfreind's 90 Civic DX hatch.

Total cost was $4 and used OEM fabric. Took about an hour from start to finish.

Normally from a seat from the junk yard.

Thanks 99PreludeSH.

I was gonna do the bottom seat cushion, but the only thing wrong with it was the two tiny burn holes from previous owner, so I didn't bother. I'll wait till it's messed up more. I dunno why it looks stained in the pics, it's not like that in person.

That's like the 6th seat I've done.

I've done:
Back seat in a fox body Mustang (first time ever)
2 Prelude seats (91 Prelude seats in my CRX now)
2 CRX seats (they were in my CRX)

Then I've stripped other seat skins at the junk yard. I have a OEM Civic Si back seat cloth that I was gonna rewrap her back seats in and then get matching Si fronts, but we can't find decent enough Si front seats.

I've only recovered OEM seats using full OEM seat skins. I've never really cut and sewn before them before.
