Look forward to seeing you bring it back to its former glory or even better!
2008 Chevy Slobalt
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Yes I own 2 slow red chick cars & 1 real car!

Wow she was beautiful when you sold it. Would hate to see one of my old cars go to that. But atleast it will come back around.

just so everyone knows, when i first bought the car i had a decent job and had alot of plans for it, but fate intervened and things started going wrong, not just with the car but with my financial situation as well, the list of things that went wrong with the car in my possesion is long and depressing, every time i got something fixed something worse would go wrong with it, from clutch cables, pedal assemblies, broken timing belts, flywheel bolts backing out, chipped valves, never having vtec work in my gsr, starters, i did as much as i could to keep that thing running, eventually it got so bad that i couldnt afford it anymore and was so depressed looking at it that i didnt even feel like cleaning it was worth it, and had to sell it, i was extreamly happy the car went back to chris and i hope he has better luck then i... i apologize to those who have followed this car... i have felt like i had destroyed legend and just didnt have the knowledge needed to keep it in good shape, i learned so much from that car though, pushed myself farther then i ever thought i would go when fixing cars

Dude its just a car at least you didn't paint it all ricer and put a picnic table wing and suby scoop on it lol, ya had fun and that's all that matters don't appologise It's far from legendary. It has a history for being a clean quick dd, it wasn't setting records or anything.

The Hotfire(tm) Hatch take 2

Update time again kiddies lol, where to start though... ok well the hatch has been off sitting in a storage lot for a cpl months while i did some wiring/work on Phates RB20 swapped S14. Finally finished up Phates car last week so, Phate,Cody,Chris G and i made the trek down to St. Clair and brought the hatch back to my place on sunday

Image

So we got the hatch moved back into the garage Sunday and Wed rob and i got the chance to do some work to it and find out why it wouldn't run. Well after doing a cpl quick visual inspections of the various parts of the car we found the following wrong

-missing starter
-missing ground from chassis to starter
-blown fuse on the main battery feed for the car from the relocated battery
-battery not hooked up
-battery dead

well after finding the starter and bolts to put it back in, we whipped up a new ground cable, charged the battery, replaced the fuse and hooked up power again the car actually fired right up and started running ... But something wasn't exactly right, idle was off, it would not rev up and had ZERO power: so we turned the car off and took a quick look at the timing belt, which at this time we noticed had about a 1" of slack and it appeared that the cam gears were off at least 3-4 teeth from each other...BIG RED FLAG!!!!!!!!!!!! Well shit, so rob and i pulled the vc off and went about redoing the timing on it. We pulled the belt off, reset everything back to TDC again and replaced the belt and set the tension per honda specs. First crank the car fired right up and idled damn near perfect.

So currently the:
- car starts and runs
- motor idles and sounds great (minus open header)
- does not smoke
- rev's up smoothly

So at this point with the car starting and running fine i wanted to get into the other issues the car has, so rob and i put the car up on stands and started doing a ALL points inspection to see what condition the chassis and suspension is in and this is what we found wrong.

- Passenger side wheel bearing is TRASHED
- Passenger side axle boot bad
- Drivers side axle boot bad
- Drivers side intermediate shaft NOT bolted to the motor
- T bracket missing a bolt
- Exhaust missing from the header back
- O2 not hooked up
- Reverse lights not hooked up

Other then the above the rest of the ball joints, tie rods and control arms look fine: i do need to pull the pads on the brakes and see what shape they are in and then pull the rear of the car apart to see what shape the rear suspension is in and to make sure all the bushings in the rear are in good shape and dot require anything more then a clean up job.

Honestly there is A LOT of rust under this car now, NOT anybody's fault its a OLD car and it had some rust issues before, that were left unattended and spread pretty bad.... But i have a angle grinder and cut off wheels so ill be grinding alot of the rust off the frame and body of the car so i can put down a layer of rust prevention and some POR 15 to seal the bottom of the car up.

There is a issue with the rust on the side areas of the car , basically on the running board section of the car from the door back on each side of the car is gone due to rust... my solution to this issue s to cut the rust out and then do some mild fiberglass repair and then cover all that up with EK sideskirts modified to fit

how they look fitted on a EF
Image

The interior also needs a bunch of work, mainly a SOLID cleaning and the seats replaced, nothing wrong with the seats other then they are ek seats NOT modified to fit the car and i had just kind of rigged them to work in there (assuming the new owner would put better seats in the car because EK oem seats suck lol). I picked up a set of EF SI seats from hondachild and can't wait to put them in the car they are super minty
Image

I also picked up a new motor for the car because im pulling the GSR out and swapping a D16A6 back in. Picked up a clean well maintained 91 CRX motor from Eric Burg and will be swapping this in soon with a HF 5-speed and will be making a WTB for d-series swap parts and selling off the b-series swap.

well i think thats where we sit for now, ill get some more work done in a cpl days and update this soon
