Only one reason...notice how neew the bumper looks? Its fresh...because my last two ripped off at the end of the track. Yup....two of them. Ripped the plastic tabs down and thats not the kinda thing you notice when driving back to the pits..and by then...theres not much of a bumpe left. Tried to bolt in on with different hardware the second time, still tore the plastic....and rippid the ones right out of the truck area too...lost that bumper at full at the 1000ft line in Kansas City! So, I did what I didn't want to do...so I could keep my damn bumper on.

BTW...thanks for all the help so far Kelly! Once I get in the area I will have to catch up with you.

Very nice! And Welcome!
2008 Chevy Slobalt
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Curious why your stopping on the dyno at just over 7k on that motor? The power is peaking and falling off on a 40R so early as well.

Good point, Chad. Now that you mention it, that looks a lot like a modular engine dyno graph. Have to be one healthy ass Honda engine to make 240 wtq and almost 150 whp at 3000 rpm's. Also don't see the insane ramp (150 or so WHP gain from 5500 to 7000 or 200 WHP from 5500-8000) where boost hits like you typically do on a Honda.

You sure you didn't post the wrong dyno graph?

Hrm very strange, good point Ryan it does lack the curve/ ramping in power you almost always see. Also as you point out, the oddity of the numbers down low... ie 3500 rpm and its making 200whp with almost 300wtrq. Glad I am not the only one seeing strange things that have me curious.

Power fell off after 8300 on low boost? I only see on your sheet you rev'd it to 7000/ 7250, and it was already falling off. At that rate by 8300 the thing would be on its face completely. How much boost is this sheet if you dont mind me asking?

The way hp/ torque is building combined with the peaking then falling hp at 6500 strikes me as a larger displacement setup with a lot backpressure, especially up top. Very SRT4 like sheet, ie a 2.4 setup with a bit or a restrictive hotside on a fairly decent size turbo.

Lots of props for being so open about your build (specs, cost, power numbers, etc etc). Alot people seem to be like "OMG IT'S SUPER SECRETTTTT".

Garrett;261368 wrote:The engine is a 85mm on 12:1 comp. Smaller housing vs the 1.34 the turbo came with. No faith...look away! Don't hurt my feeling I guess. Full sheet is on 25psi. The higher the boost, the more Ignition seemed to blow out. Its was on all stock igntion. Now that I have the PS Coil I could rev more just need to go to the dyno.
Not a matter of faith, more just a lack of seeing a sheet like that from a 85mm b18c or really any B series with a similar setup on gas.

Guys on the national level boards running similar compression, better intake manifolds, larger bore, on e85, newer aero billet wheels, etc... dont put out a curve like that or torque numbers that high on a mid 600whp pull.

So this sheet is at 25psi or is there another one, dont follow what you mean by the "full sheet"? Do you know what the corrected numbers where?

Honestly if you seen this sheet posted from someone else you would not ask similar questions?
