Few more upgrades for the 4 door.

Post by RyanA »

Well, slowly but surely, the car is coming along. Have a ton more parts to put on but I have to come up with some time to do it. So far, I've added the Si grille, lip, OEM fogs (harness modified so fogs are active with parking lights and both beams), Si wheels, front mud flaps (need 99-00 rears, only have 96-98's), 35% window tint, and the e55 retrofitted headlights (wish they were chrome instead of the smoked).

Once I get time, here's what is going on: Wilwood front brakes, Bilstein/Neuspeed coilovers, EM1/CTR front lower control arms and sway bar, SPC front upper camber/caster arms, new lower ball joints, new inner and outer tie rod ends, new rack boots, rack with Integra pinion (quicker ratio), ASR rear brace, S2 rear control arms, ITR rear sway bar, SPC rear camber kit, Wicked Racing rear toe kit, Noltec rear trailing arm bushings. I think that is all for the next mod binge. GSR engine/JDM ITR trans coming pretty soon, too.

Anyway, here is how it sits as of tonight. Yes, I know it's dirty.

Looks great minus the 4wd stance. Definately like the front end on it... in fact I am going to come steal it. You do not mind do you? :p

Once you get it a bit lowered should look really nice.

I plan on taking the car to a couple local mud runs. After they are past, I plan on putting the coilovers on. NO, you can not come steal the front end. :spank:

I would like to say no but you know me better than that. The car I REALLY wanted is similar but a 2000 and a lot cleaner. Only drawback is it is in CT. If I could sell this one for enough to justify driving to CT, I would take a week vacation and have some fun along the way.

Good luck on the sale if thats what ends up happening. Road trips are always fun, especially if you know theres a car for you in the end. lol

OK, a little more is done to the car. Did a few suspension upgrades, here is what I did:

Bilstein/Neuspeed coilovers
SPC front upper camber/caster arms
EM1/CTR front lower control arms, shock forks and sway bar
Skunk2 rear control arms
ASR rear brace
ITR 23 mm rear sway
SPC camber kit
Wicked toe kit

Did a basic alignment and set front camber to -1, front caster to .2, front toe to 0 (for gas mileage; had considered doing it +.02 for better steering response but decided against it), rear toe is at .01 and rear camber is -.5. Have not had much of a chance to have fun on some curves yet as the rain hit almost immediately after I got the car back. The drive to the alignment shop felt pretty good on the 25 mph exit. Anyway, a few pics:

The 12.2" Wilwoods would not work in the Si wheels. Holding out for 16's for them. Will probably go ahead and throw my 11" front brake setup on for now.

Before I raised it up a tiny bit for roads around here:
