i dont undestand how the fact that i enjoy shifting gears in a manual, more then sitting there as my transmission does all the work for me is a stupid thing to say, honestly its my opinion, hence why i dont care what you have to say.
why dont you explain to everyone why liking a manual over an auto is very stupid?

I never said liking a manual over an auto is stupid, just that you said you like having control over what gear your car is in. I have control over what gear my car is in as well, I don't have to just put it in D and go. I've got 3 gears to pick from, plus an OD (which is D). I could cruise down the road and manual shift my car as it sits and be perfectly fine doing so for a long time. If I got really crazy, I could put a manual VB in it and have to shift it on my own all the time. People need to understand though that an auto will shift faster than you can and that they do have control over what the car is doing as far as shifting. Personally, I don't like having to take a hand off the steering wheel to downshift when I'm on a back-road driving spiritedly. Just because it's an "auto" doesn't mean a damn thing anymore. Most of the highend sports cars/exotics and even some of the cheaper cars (EVO, GTR, etc.) all use a DSG trans, which for all intensive purposes is an auto with a manual shift option as there's no clutch to push in anymore. I just find it amusing that you're trying to justify your argument with that very lame excuse :music1:

He's not DDing a modern day exotic it's a 20 something year old Nissan. So what if he likes to shift gears and have selection over what gear he's in it's his choice just let him fucking have it. You like driving an auto and he like driving a manual.
gudg racing you're never gonna catch me!!

i used to have a 97 eclipse that was an auto, and i would leave it in 2 when i would drive backroads, i fucking hated the fact that the damned thing downshifted randomly in the middle of a turn... wasnt the same time for every turn, IT decided when IT wanted to downshift and when you are trying to turn and all of a sudden your car downshifts and totally changes the turning behavior of your car (throttle off over-steer) it makes for a difficult, if not dangerous situation, ever since then i have liked manuals for that purpose... now for every day use, like driving to work in traffic, i LOVE autos, these past few days have been relaxing, calm, quiet, and comfortable thats why i choose this car as a daily over loud, rough and tempermental

update: just found out this thing still has its owners manual, the two vinyl T-top sun screens, and the two T-Top storage bags, would not be suprised if every part (minus one radiator hose that i was told about) of this car was on it when it rolled out of the dealer, tires included
