Crx love!

Post by speed »

Well i spent a bit of time on the car this weekend. I did a complete tuck on the passenger side and a partial tuck on the drivers side. Once i get a new fender i will complete the drivers side tuck but for now im thrilled that the harder side is completed.

I also finished the skunk2 knob i was working on. Im saving it for my short throw. It fits my hand perfect now.

And heres a better shot of the completed exhaust that i made lol.

I also relocated my battery but i forgot to snap a pic of it. Still working on a few more small projects and as of now im almost ready for a motor. Im trying to knock out all this tedious boring bullshit now so when its motor time its a drop in and go situation.

well tucks all done for now. all i gotta do is one little group of wires on the drivers side but other then that all i really need to do is a whole lotta cleaning. Im gonna really clean the hell out of the whole bay once i pull the motor but for now you get this:

heres my battery relocation. Im actually gonna be running an optima battery but its on back order :(
Image

Im still on the fence about pulling the a/c. i hate to pull it since it will freeze me out even on the hottest days but i hate all the shit in my bay. Im gonna have to sleep on it.

annnnnnddddd.....just a sneek peek of whats to come:

Still has a lot more to tuck. The clutch cable can go underneath the intake manifold. Move the ground on the valve cover to the back. Relocate the coolant overflow behind the bumper cover. The brake booster line can be turned down and run below the intake manifold so it's out of sight. The fitting for the BB vacuum line on the manifold can be turned down as well. The only other suggestions I have since you're doing a swap is to replace that giant radiator cap that will probably end up breaking. Paint the wiper arms if you plan on keeping them. And get an OBD2 LS valve cover.

This should be your goal, except keep your A/C. N2HIFI's old hatch.

shift knob is bad ass, now for the 1000$ question. How in the hell did you do that and make it look so damn clean?

Looking good minus the accents. Though honestly Id paint the cherry bomb muffler black. Would just look cleaner and be less obvious.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

lol well i would have had these on here a few days ago but my damn camera was at my girls house soo heres the progress i have made between the last time i posted to now:

Cleaned up the drivers side some, Once i completly tuck this side it will really free up some space in front of the mc and behind the head light.

and heres a shot of the whole bay...shes gettin there!
Image

And as a side note i picked these up fo crackhead prices! im gonna re-finish em and use em as beater wheels but for 20 bucks,i just couldnt pass em up.
Image

Also im on my way to ditching all the a/c crap...i just hate to pull ice cold air conditioning. Oh well i guess i can always roll the windows down and open the top!
