And because i was bored... more mods to come before the end of the year

Not much plans for the outside... eventually new wheels and a front lip. I might switch to retrofit headlights as well. But that will be it.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

Does the jet stage II do anything?
Car looks pretty good, you should put the supercharger kit on it instead of selling it lol.
also where did you get the sway bar end links?

Already sold the supercharger. The jet module did help. Could feel it on the top end. Though it did make the car run leaner. And I got the end links at carquest. I don't think I'm doing much more to this car. It just got different wheels (don't like them lol) and it might get some suspension goodies. But other than that I think a tune will be about it.

well i love my 17's. thats good you finally sold it, dont forget you have a thread out there lol. Well whats wrong with making it leaner? I think i need a new cat converter, i have a sulfur smell sometimes and it pings while driving.
I've got my Sprint Lowering Springs for a steal, and they are brand new.
like 1.6 front 1.9 rear. idk where there is a carquest but im interested in finding a set of the endlinks if they do make a difference.
i'm also looking to swap out or remove the ugly gray plastic grilles. We both have the 2.4 automatic coupe right?
I'll look into the jet module, whats the model number on it???

The jet module for your car would be different than mine (mines an 08 they switched ecms).

But if you can stomach the jet full price id just go get a tune from P&P tuning (check gatewayecotec.com/forums) I got my jet modules for 100 for both stage 1 and 2 so figured why not lol.

As far as the grills yeah the SS/TC grills look much better and they are on my shopping list at some point.

As far as the endlinks you can try napa as well.
And yes my car is an 08 2.4 auto coupe.

And I need to put up new pics of the car though I hate the new 18's...

should have gone 18" sc wheels lol.
how did you get them that cheap?? I was looking up grilles and the ss/tc grill fits our cars right? I was thinking billet at first but my car is purple so idk. I just want to get rid of the hideous gray plastic slats and put something better. So its just Moog sway bar end links? no special model or anything? I probably wont do the jet module since I dont plan to do future mods. I'll only be doing a muffler, keeping it simple enough to make me happy until i get my vette.

I have 18" ss/tc wheels and some other 18s now. And yeah the grills fit our cars. check crateenginedepot.com for some good deals. And the endlinks are moog endlinks for SS/SC models. They are the shorter links and will be listed as FE5 links. Our cars are FE3 so our links are longer. But the FE5s are shorter and better plus they fit with zero modification. check cobaltss.net for info on that.

Oh I see. Yeah ced is like $180 for the grill set, idk if that's worth it tho. Guy I used to work with has the sc version and he has an ss badge where the Bow tie on the grill is. So the fe5s aren't hard to put on? I may get a small conpressor after Christmas and an impact wrench to make things easy. I'll prob do just a muffler, lower it, and tint. While I do the springs I'll prob do the end links as well. You ever thought of using night shades on the tails? I'll prob get an hid kit for my stock headlights. 6000k hid

An impact would be easier. But not truly needed. The problem with the stockers is there isn't much material to grab onto with pliers or a wrench and of you don't hold onto it then it will just spin as you try to remove the nut. As far as the grill I honestly think its worth it as you will have more difference between you and a base model. And I think our grill is an eye sore. If your doing the lowering springs then I flat out advise the Fe5s as people have had some issue with the stock Fe1/3 endlinks when lowering. As far as the nightshades go I've messed around with it on some old turn signals from my supra. And while it looks decent its just far too much work for me for the results I want. If I ever go through with it I will have a paint shop professionally smoke and clear them. But nightshades can look decent if you clear it wetsand it and buff it.

Few new pics.....

Right before swapping to the new wheels

With the new wheels. Im not liking them at all... But for the price I paid for 6 wheels and 5 tires I couldnt pass up the deal. The idea behind these is to run a 5mm spacer eventually with 255/35/18s and go with a more handling oriented suspension setup.

They will probably end up plastidipped black just to kill off some of the bling...

Image

So honestly the wheels were a step backwards from my goals though they have the width for what I want to do. And they came with 95% tread Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3s on them. Just wish they were 40 series instead of the 35's... They are 225/35/18 and definitely dont have the sidewall id like as im not a fan of the rubber band look at all. But they do handle well. Today in the damp they were outperforming my Kumho spts when it was dry for the kumho's.
