removed the frayed heat tape from the engine bay, moved a few harnesses/cable around to clean it up a bit. Then decided I might as well go ahead and wrap up the manifold, DP, and wastegate dump. Hopefully this (and rerouting the dump) will solve my heat issue. Used the DEI Titanium series wrap...50' roll each of 1" and 2" did the trick with just a little to spare.

Thanks to my buddies that stayed and lent helping hands! pic of the finished product before reinstallation.

Looks great, how do you like the "titanium" wrap... does it have all the little bits of fiberglass like debris like the other DEI heat wrap?

no it does not. we were wrapping it with our bare hands, no bucket of water necessary, and I am not itching at all. it's actually really soft and stretches nicely on the curves.

The locking ties were more of a PITA than the wrap...until we figured out the trick to getting them really tight.

Those look like the same locking ties on a CV joint. they sell a tool for them. I have 2 sitting around over there

I think the ones for a CV joint would probably work better. These don't crimp closed or anything, they just cinch up and hold tight by magic I guess.
