WHY?speed;230702 wrote:So its been a few days an i figured i would bite the bullet and redo my wheels today. I had to use 2 cans of aircraft stripper cause there was like 3 coats of paint on them..could have used another can but im gonna be redoing them in a bronze color when i have more money, but for now blacks cool.
Heres after 1 can and some scrubbing. lovely pink:
Heres after lots of scrubbing and another whole can:
Then i rocked these while i gatherd up some paint and tape from walmart:
And heres the finished product:
After lots of work with the wheels i also did my calipers(some may think its ricey but i think it looks pretty good) and i raised my coilovers a little bit until i get a camber kit. I hate camber wear, and since i like these tires i wanna take care of em. But as soon as i get a camber kit my shits gonna be draggin sack. Thats all for today kidz.

Those wheels were already rattle canned twice. They were even pink at one point (See the picture above).

I wouldn't go as far as saying they're useless or a marketing gimmick. They're very useful when trying to correct camber back to zero degrees so you can get the most traction possible for those who are building cars for that purpose. And like the article said, when you want to dial in some more camber, they help as well.92egdxhatch;230750 wrote:wow typical jackass wanting to spend money on useless camber kits do research.
Edit: But in any other case, they're pretty much useless and will cause more harm then good. Those who are even moderately lowered and run UCA-type front camber kits usually end up busting a hole through the shock tower in the 90-01 Integras and 88-00 Civics.
For those who don't believe this, you're more then welcome to take a look at my rear tires on my car. The 99.5-04.5 Volkswagen Jetta specs for rear camber are -1.1 degrees to -1.8 degrees. Mine sits at -1.5 degrees with toe at -.05 and my tires wear evenly.
