cause they are touchy as fuck good luck in traffic, your oil gets dirty faster, you'll be paranoid about sucking up rocks and other things into the motor, if it rains better hope you dont hit a puddle, they are expensive and cost extra to get tuned and you have to tune them often. i wont tell you not to do them ill just say do A LOT OF RESEARCH before you buy a set2ksi;221077 wrote:why is that?

@sharpiethanks sharpie for being the voice of realism I didn't want to hear. you make the car you built sound so.. appealing.. not lol.
@2ksi, my advice would be this. don't start searching specific parts and brand names etc. Do this. hit up howstuffworks and others and get some theory behind how car engines work etc. especially 4 cylinders and the differences between 6's and 8's. from there just follow and connect the dots. if you can learn the theory behind some of this, it will make you more educated when you go to source parts and it will help you decipher the numbers and facts the brands throw out in their attempt to entice EDUCATED customers.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine9.htm
http://www.2carpros.com/how_does_it_work/engine.htm
links like these help you with a mental picture and cycle of how an engine is put together, giving you the ability to see your future engine build as a whole rather than the single parts and options that are obviously confusing the hell out of you

totally agree with you. I know before I went turbo, I researched and researched about 4 or 5 months to fully understand what is happening etc and what parts would be good etc. Then I so happened to come up on a great turbo and stuff so I got it.

im not a damn idiot. i wouldnt join a forum site and try to talk to people that have the same interests as me if i didnt know at all what i was talking about. all my thread was about was to see different peoples points of view on which should come first; looks or performance. thats it. i wasnt asking people to build my whole damn car.tbrazzy-s3;221094 wrote:http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine9.htm
