No problem, sorry dont mean to sound like a dick picking at your parts choices.
The UR just seems to be more problems than its worth unless you want to have the entire assembly balanced with it on to ensure you will not have a problem with harmonics or whatnot which can lead to bearing/ crank damage.
The rods you might as well do once now, cause if a stock rod lets go you could very likely window the block and then you lose a nice sleeved block as well.
Is that a t4 housed ts 60-1 turbo?
Definately not seeing as many nicely mod'd 4th gens around. Will be cool to see is all done, hope you update as you go on this build. I am interested to see the progress.

You don't think valve float is going to be an issue on this application?twkdcd595;219945 wrote:You dont need dual springs with stock camshafts and other valvetrain.

No not really, if he were going to rev it higher or change to more aggressive cams maybe. However being that he is not doing either, I dont think the added cyl pressure from boosting it alone will be enough to float the valves.
Just my personal opinion though from what I have seen of stock h22 head motors making pretty good power without issue. Although on the flip side, if the cost was right... it is easy to change them out and could be worth the added insurance/ piece of mind.

Valve float was the first reason why this engine was pulled out when it was still in the del sol. it would crank over but never fire up. It had spark and fuel but no compression. All of the intake valves were slightly bent. I had to change them all out. ran the car at 6-8 psi but ran it harder and it seemed fine until it was parked then it wouldn't start.JustRob;219954 wrote:You don't think valve float is going to be an issue on this application?
