it's a US 99 dx hatch. no importers, all pictures of work you see have been done by yours truly. The damaged rocker panel was done by a body shop and the paint will be done by the body shop.

no importers? Its in germany right? therefore it was imported by someone, did you bring it over just for his reason?

i'm in Germany yes, the Japanese CTR was brought to Germany by me, via the military. The US hatch has ALWAYS been here in Germany. never been in the states. But yes, i brought the Japanese CTR with me from Japan for this purpose.

I'm not talking about the CTR, I'm talking about this supposed "US" hatch thats never been in the states. What makes it a US hatch and wtf is it doing in germany? From what I am understanding it sounds like you are still going to have some troubles getting it into the states by proving it is up to US safety spec.

no problem taking it back. VIN is US spec. the car was purchased brand new in 99 by a guy here, military car sales. you can buy US SPEC cars overseas, it's a little thing we get being military. no prob. taking it back. have already looked into it.

Oh really? thats cool, it all makes sense now. I am guessing they can do that just for this reason, so you can take it home with you when you are done over there.
