its been awhile since i've updated this thread. i put a hallman boost controller on and have it at 12psi currently.
during my 4th of july weekend i painted a few of my extra body panels. i am using rattle can paint( dont care to hear about it). i need to put a few more layers of clear on the parts before i wetsand and buff to a shine. i painted my new front bumper, rear bumper, front lip, both fenders, and a passeger side door.
im not sure if i want to give away the color im going with yet so you'll have to wait.

i guess i could update this.
over this last summer, i blew the motor twice. once in the early summer and around august. both times from too much timing in boost. i blame my driving habits for that. i broke ringlands on all 4 pistons the first time and 3 the next.
after the last time it blew i had to take the turbo off and put the stock y8 back in and go emissions friendly for a while. in the mean time i've been changing a few things and buying parts. recently
i put the shortblock back together with a new set of 75.5mm vitara pistons with teflon coated skirts, new arp headstuds, and oem honda head gasket. i disassembled the cylinder head and cleaned
up a few things. i removed some material on the intake ports that were in the way of the injectors. my h23 60mm throttlebody was modified so i could port out my skunk2 intake manifold to about 70mm.
pics for people that like pics.

The civic is still silver and the body damage was never fixed. After I painted those parts, my brother kind of took over the garage with his f body for a good while. I'm thinking about finding another civic with a straight body to swap parts into.99BlackHatch;282026 wrote:I want to see pics of the new paint all around!

i got a new clutch and flywheel in i went with competition stage 4 with a 6 puck sprung disc and their 9lb flywheel. hopefully it'll handle being daily driven better than my stage 5 did after about 20k miles.
stage 5 disc after about 20k miles.:wtf2:

i bought a new sealed u joint for my shift linkage and welded that in place of the stock one that was sloppy.

since my spare transmission was operating a little rough im rebuilding it while also putting in a M factory LSD to help with the one tire fire. after inspecting it the mainshaft 3rd gear, 3-4 syncro sleeve, countershaft 2nd gear, and 1-2 syncro sleeve needed to be replaced. i replaced 1-2 shift fork, 3-4 shift fork, all bearings and seals and upgraded to syncrotech carbon syncros for 1-4 and a stock brass for 5th. im currently waiting on a mainshaft shim from honda so i can finish it.
M factory helical LSD with new bearings ready to go in.

new 2nd gear with old. the syncro sleeve was a lot worse than the gear.

replacement 2nd gear, 1-2 syncro sleeve, 3rd gear, and 3-4 syncro sleeve.

syncrotech carbon syncro left, stock right

main shaft and counter shaft reassembled.

lsd in

gearset with shift forks installed
