i finally got around to finishing notching my block and girdle. i smoothed out a rough spot in the main oil galley by the filter. its probably not needed but i was bored. should be getting my new oem oil pump tomorrow, then i'll be busy porting that out.

i picked up a cylinder head earlier in the week so i can build up a long block to make swapping easier.

i mocked up the engine and turbo this week on the stand. found out that my oil return line wont fit. i ordered a -10an 90* fitting, so hopefully that will work out.

took a couple pics with my phone.

when i had the setup mounted in the car with the intercooler on. the wastegate was about 1/4" from the backside of the intercooler. i want to notch out the back of the bumper bar. that way i can put the IC towards the front of the car more for better clearance.

i used some random bits i had with a power drill. i couldn't find any bits for my dremel as well as get a good angle to grind the notches. i have an air die grinder, but my little 5 gal. compressor can't hang. on the girdle i used a 3/8" dremel cutting bit.

its been a minute since i've updated this.

im dropping my block off this week to get decked and bored out as well as new bearings installled.

i need to get a straight edge so i can measure my cylinder head for any warpage and finish getting the carbon off the valves.
