If you are using this on a ls motor.....your speed/rpm is about the same as the s4c with a 3.73 final. I was more commenting on how you are making a b16/etc. tranny longer geared like the ls......almost seems like a waste unless you have all the parts already (or can get them pretty cheap).
I also do not know how strong the factory lsd is....I haven't messed with one.
well the tranny is already in the car. i havent had any troubles with it what-so-ever as of yet (knock on wood) and i still have alot of other projects planned so for now i guess it will have to do...i know you had a setup similar to mine 5th..what trans setup did you do?
I had straight ls everything with a sc34 and a sc61.
I've also had a gsr transmission....which was way too short for a 7000 redline. I was going into 5th gear a little after the 1/8th mile. Threw a ls tranny back in and still had problems going into 5th before the 1/4 mark. So I just raised my rev limit to 7500 and the motor pretty much hit that at the end of the quarter.
Simple home made setup, pressure was up to 15-17 pounds for about 3 years.
*water/meth kit - got a good deal on it from buddy(wont be going on until spring)
*head was just put back on the car
*got all my elbows and tubes in for the new header
*still in parts in the garage due to hollidays and to much family shit(im not driving it in this cold crap shit anyways)
*bought me some purdy steelies to throw some stickies on
big plans for March (i know its a ways away)
I get really lazy in the winter(should have been born a bear)im gonna put the car back together for now and let it sit this winter out.( will post pics of the EBC rotors and previous work i had mentioned)
*Going to an E85 tune with the water/meth kit.
*still saving for the pistons....*sigh*
