i agree with Ryan... the math doesn't add up... def. would like to see the check, and it does make more sense if that's the medical/car settlement.

Regardless, you made out well if that's what you got!

RyanA;217703 wrote:Well, I'm having problems believing 7800 with a 300 buyback. Any insurance company determines buyback by multiplying the vehicle value by 15-20%. So, if you really got 7800, your buyback should have been 1170-1560.

You probably should take a picture of that $7500 check and keep it as that is definitely hard to believe. I'd really have to see it to believe it myself. With 99-01 GSR's bringing 5500-8000, seems like a dream to me...

But yeah, show us a pic of that check. You are definitely the man if you got that kind of money and somehow bought your car back for 3.8% of your loss value. You should really write a book on how to get more than full retail (5120) out of a car from an insurance company; you could make a lot selling it.

Or did you mean that payout and medical settlement is 7800? That would make more sense and sound a lot more like an insurance company (paying out so you can not make any more claim on medical against them). Either way, let us know. You did good regardless.
well check isnt in yet but ill def show it to you.

i made a website to send to the insurance company. whats on it is pretty much this plus WAY more detail and evidence to back it up

I can go into detail on anything you want. and the storage was from two different places that we had the car. one at hoods and the other at robinwood

i found 11 different gsr's around the us whose mileage was around mine. all of them averaged out to be that number. i only chose the most exspensive ones obviously. and also the insurance adjuster was 80 yrs old, so kinda like stealin from a baby. should i feel bad? lol

I somehow don't beleive this either, bc i just sold my gsr, pretty much the exact same as yours, less miles, with more mods that eqauled up to about # times what the car was worth, and had a built engine in it, and i was origally asking $7000 for it, and i never got close to that. I got just a little above full retail value for it.
