normally, the personal property part of the settlment will go quickly. It's the pain/suffering/medical stuff that they will low-ball and drag out for as long as they can to wear you down. You're definitely entitled to pain/suffering, but that amount depends on medical bills(among other things).
good luck!

sorry to hear about your loss.
if you dont mind, send me a pm if you end up parting it out. i really need a part and was hoping to get it from a fellow hondas member that way both people come out on top.

Wow. a month and still not taken care of? You have a rental car? If not, sounds like you need to get one. Insurance companies tend to want to get things settled damn quick if they are paying for you to have a rental car...
Whoever the insurance company is, sounds like they suck. When I used to have progressive, they were there within 1 business day and crap was taken care of. I now use Cornerstone and they are the same way. I had hail damage and they were in the area within 48 hours and things were settled.
Sounds like you need to turn the flame up a bit.

I know from ur first post u were wondering how much you'd get if you parted it.
Well to give you an idea, I bought a 95 Honda civic ex 4door for $50 bucks that was smashed in the front and had No motor or front end and I got over $1,000 in parts and I seriously had TONS of parts still, I ended up giving the rest of them all away.
and well since ur car is still practically complete, minus the rear end u will forsure get more than 1-2k out of that by parting it out.

any other tips for getting a large sum for the car other than saying "we'll get back to you after i talk to my lawyer"?

All depends on how long you are willing to wait to sell the parts, and with the economy the way it is it may be a little harder. I parted out a LS a few years back and made the same as you.JDM EM1;215462 wrote:I know from ur first post u were wondering how much you'd get if you parted it.
