awesome, thanks for clearing it up!06sik20z3;267367 wrote:pretty much this i am bored type of project. the black hatch is exactly how i want it but it is not very fast in the quarter. So i have this friend a fox body mustang guy and he swears no honda will ever beat him in the quarter, so i am taking him up on the challenge. this car will be a quarter car and eventually i want it to dip in the 10's in a couple years. it will not happen overnight i know but i think i can get it there as i have been consumed with shedding weight on the car and doing alot of research as to what exactly it will take to get there. i am going against all my morals and it will be turblowed with a fully built motor as soon as i get it going down the track straight and am comfortable with the set up. gateway is not even open so really i have nothing but time.

omg you're such a shit disturbing hater. you gotta make your car lighter so that you can compete with over weight cars and underweight turbo ones!
The best path is the hardest earned.

doesnt the rear disc setup weigh more than the rear drum setup?06sik20z3;267908 wrote:im taking the drums off and installing discs
if so, doesnt that contradict your shedding weight idea?

idk if it does or not more along the lines of a joke, i just prefer the ease of discs. understandably the more contact surface area of the drum in theory will stop better the disc ease of just slapping pads and rotors and not have to deal with spring tensions and all that jive is actually why i am switching over.rickles8099;267910 wrote:doesnt the rear disc setup weigh more than the rear drum setup?
