Prelude going away today. Getting an old car back....

Post by RyanA »

Well, the Prelude will be history at about 2 pm today. I'm trading it for my old Camaro rolling chassis back. Still looks the same but now has some 16" BBS wheels on it. I'll either get some more 35th LE SS wheels or some more silver SS wheels like in this pic.

Here is what will be on my trailer later this afternoon:

Here's a pic with my old Enkei Winsome 3 piece wheels:

it needs a snail or a pair of snails. Maybe a really big snail and a bottle :)

Lonnie owed me a little money but that was it. We made a deal that we were both happy with so I traded the Prelude for the roller. Just got home with it. Plans are to finally use my ported AFR 190's with 2.05/1.60's. I'm going stock CI or maybe 355. Possibly a single up front. It will be a 6 speed instead of auto this time...

Although I can't wait to get it on the road, I'll be patient and take as long as I need to get everything exactly how I want. Right now, I'm actually leaning towards a nice 383 with forged internals (in case I decide to go with some sort of power adder down the road) with a cam that will complement my heads (~320 intake/245 exhaust at .600). I'm still in the air on whether I want to go with a 6 speed or a nice 4L80E. I plan on doing the LSX PCM swap in the car so it will have 4L80E control potential (LT1 PCM's can not control an 80E...) Although a 6 speed is fun, a bulletproof auto with a stall is always nice, too.

Here is a pic of it since I got it home. It's dirty and it has some ugly wheels. Over time, it will be nicer than it used to be. Interior still looks new except for the headliner starting to sag (I'll put a new one in). I'm also going to have my friend cover the roll bar in leather that matches the seats. This was one of the last things I was going to do to the interior before I ended up selling the car. I think it will be a nice touch and should help the roll bar blend in even more. It's already nearly invisible at first glance...
