You should put some 17's on that thing....

Went walking the dog this morning and realized there was a truck rather close to my back bumper so I went and checked it out. I figured I had been rear ended by my neighbor last night so I took pictures, then called the cops and one came by and was checking everything out. He went and knocked on their door and the lady finally came out. She said her son would never do anything like that...blah blah blah. She told the officer my car rolled into her son's truck, even though it was in gear with the emergency brake pulled... I was then informed of the following:

So we got a bunch of rain this morning for a little bit. Micro flash flood so to speak. Water was all over the roads, which were quickly closed and up in the lawns. Enough water swept my car down the road about 20 ft. into a truck. I didn't have the car out in my carport (summer residence) because I just repainted the floors yesterday evening. Regardless, my car wasn't too happy to find out the truck behind it was not installed with the factory pillow cushion front bumper, instead it had tow hooks and a metal bumper.

Mmmm I need a new bumper, rear bumper filler, and center garnish. Of course the truck was undamaged. Over $700 just for parts + paint of bumper/lip. I'm really excited because all the parts that got fucked were practically either brand new or rare. Special Edition center garnish, Non-SRS JDM rear bumper from PasswordJDM with rear fogs. Just what I wanted to happen.

There was no accident report filed and I don't have full coverage so I'm just like fucked. The cop took off but stopped by my car and said to me, "Maybe you should put some 17's on that thing so it sits a bit higher." I was left speechless because that's kind of funny but not so much.

Rear fogs are in perfect condition so they are now for sale!:kermit:

Yeah I guess I need to start throwing an anchor out when I park, lul.

My car was the only car on the block, most are Chevy 1500 pickups, including mine. Three on our block and a chevy dually.. Regardless it sucked but oh well. At least she didn't try to file a suit against me for my car hitting their truck!

Keying their truck wouldn't make my bumper nice again, just make things worse. She was a bitch about the whole situation but I'd be pissed if some ricer's car was inadequate against six inches of water and hit my big truck. Ammurica!

Uhh gee thanks Ryan.hahaa yeah well it's a "project car" so it is allowed to be busted 24/7.

I'm going to order my parts today or on Monday since banks probably won't be open for paypal and hopefully get it in a booth soon. That'll be one project down!

Do you honestly believe that your car was swept down the street by water?
