Project "Budget Prelude" pretty much done...

Post by RyanA »

Well, all that is left on the Prelude is putting the pinstripe back on the front fender and putting the SRS module back in once it gets back next week. Just so people know, you CAN build a car on a budget if you are patient. I bought this car a little over 1 month ago for the wife and here is where we are on it today.

Costs:
Initial cost of car: $900
Cost of gas to pick up: $65
Lost time off work: $125 (regular job)
New front right lower control arm: $83
New front right radius rod: $32
New radius rod bolts: $7
New lower control arm bolt: $5
New sway bar end links for front: $40
Wheels (didn't really need but whatever): $500
Fender OEM and already the right color: $140
Misc clips: $2
Driver headlight bulb, driver blinker bulb: $5
Airbags: $297
Alignment: $39
Reset SRS module due to soft code: $39

Total: $2279

Here is what it looks like for under $2300:
