I'm going to be the devil's advocate here by saying, that is what the OEM tow hooks are for.

+1

You can't smash your ankle with stock tow hooks, nor do they come in brushed/polished finish, DUH. These are uber coolness compared to stock!!!!

Two hour install on A tow hook, how? I'm assuming you have to drill into the bumper support and weld and stuff? My hatch is easy, just a couple bolts; mine is a 91 though..:kermit:

If your car is busted on the side of the road, you should at least be there with tools trying to fix it. If you can't, by the time the tow truck shows up you should be able to take your bumper off and put it in the back..

I understand that as well... Sometimes you buy a car with out them. It happens.

Sometimes you have intercooler piping installed at a shop, EX: HTP... And when you get the car back, the tow hooks are gone and they didn't mention it... That happened to me on blackhatch.

But car parts like these are 1 or the other... You love them/hate them, functional/nonfunctional, etc/etc.
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

To each his own, I won't knock you for not liking them. I mean a person gets a car to do their own thing to make it to were they like it. I don't build my car to impress you or anyone else, and don't take that like i'm trying to be a dick head, because I'm not.

It took two hours because I had to drill through the support and then we had to cut out a small square in the support so we could tighten the nuts on the bolts to secure it. It wasn't hard to do, just took a little longer than expected.

I gotta agree Josh, I honestly hate the tow hooks, but in the occasions like your example its def a need. If your rocking a track car then I think its totally acceptable just for ease of towing.
