Zac's S2000 Thread

Post by zacs2k »

You can view my VbpicGallery here: https://stlhondas.net/app.php/gallery/album/227 It has a full list of my mods and will be updated as I go.

I thought I would start my own build/update thread and use this as my main thread so that I don't keep posting new threads.:wink2:

I had always liked hondas ever since the day before my first day of sophmore year. I went to the mall with my cousin and our parents, we didn't have anything to do so we stoped in the Walden Books store. We were just walking through and this Blue EK Hatch caught my eye:honda:. It was on the front of the September 2005 issue of SuperStreet magazine. Needless to say I bought the magazine, later subscribed and the rest is history.

I picked up my first car june of 2006 and it was a 1995 Honda Civic ex:confused2:. It was slow(auto) and annoying with a straight through exhaust. After less than a year I ditched it and in April of 2007 I scored a deal on a 1994 GSR. Fun car, made no mistakes on this one in modding it.:wink2:

July 2008 roles around and I go on vacation to Florida. While i'm down there I spot several s2k's driving around:rasta:. Near my last day down there im driving down the beach road and this s2k pulls out, its totally pimped out:pimp:, and it just roasts the tires:drive: :vtec228:and is gone in no time (Im postive it had a supercharger). I was like :ohsnap2:. I would have tried to catch him to see what was done to it, but I was in my moms SUV:wall:.

Right then I knew I had to have one:love::thumbsup:, so I started parting my car out and saving money. Then at the end of January 2009 I sold my teg. I went a week without a car, and was trying to get ahold of a guy with a 01 bb. But I couldn't get ahold of him. Then a s2k I had spotted in August 08 [ later jeff (modthesol) showed it to me again and put it in the back of my mind] on s2ki had a price drop. So I thought it couldn't hurt to check it out.

All went well and here I am now.

I did some little things to it that was not expensive

Removed the flaps in front of the front wheels...

Image
Image

Bought some bumper plugs from Honda for cheap....

Image

Image

Got some velchro for my Ipod, it used to just lay in there and get thrown around....

Image

After....

Image

Got my custom Vtec solenoid cap....

Image

I also removed my Cruise Control after talking to slammeds2k.

Image

But I was stuck with that ugly bracket, sooo I did some searching and found out that the 06+ models had the CC relocated and the bracket was different.

Image

so that cleaned up the engine bay quite a bit

I also put on my skunk2 battery tie down from my previous car.

Then I bought some badass radiator stays from PasswordJDM. I buy alot of shit from these guys....

If anyone with camera experience reads this feel free to let me know how much you would charge for some good pictures.

Plans

-I want it to look like this someday....:idhitit::thumbup:

Image

- My goals for now is to put down a decent amount of power, keep it reliable for my DD, and keep it simple and clean. I like cars that have custom peices and not everything is bought off the shelf. The one thing I dont like are garage queens that make it out once a week, and have $1000's in parts. This car gets lots of road time and once its paid off i hope to go FI.

Ill keep this thread updated as I go, but I wont let anyone know what kind of stuff im buying before hand. I like to suprise people:wink2:

they were a bitch to put on for some reason, i dont think they were ment to fit on rotas. The color is not red either, its a pink color.

I would honestly not recommend these for anyone, i will never buy them again, unless they dropped the price on them.

Good work. Can't wait to see some more updates. One minor suggestion to clean up the engine bay would be to hide the amp power wire that is very distracting.
