I had this old strut bar layin around and didn't really know what to do with it. I figured I'd see if it would by any chance fit my 09 Si sedan on Thursday 2/4/09. After fiddling with it under the hood and seeing that in no way was it going to connect anything significant there. I moved to the trunk area to find a home for it, hoping it would be long enough to connect the strut towers or something...longshot, but hopeful nonetheless. After looking at the trunk area through my mind's eye for about 5 minutes I decided to mount it up behind the rear seats. I didn't think to take pics in the process (mostly because I figured it wouldn't work and I'd wind up throwing the bar back in the closet), but here's what I wound up with:
rear view

from the inside with the seat folded down

Now, I get done and think to myself..."this really doesn't DO anything, but it looks kinda cool and puts this hi dolla titanium strut bar to use, so what the heck." Then, yesterday (2/5/09) I'm looking at A&J Racing's selection on J's reinforcement bars and and notice the black bar mounted across the rear seat opening!! I couldn't believe that Honda engineers determined that there needed to be a brace in the same location that I had just installed mine. I nearly LOL'd myself to death!

Ok, so I started DD'ing the Si last week. I've got 419 miles as of today. I installed the Ingalls ETD a couple weeks ago, and definitely can tell a difference. The weather was forgiving so I got the car all shined up and took a pic out in the sun with the tint.

Got my Eibach pro-kit in the other day (sold the Skunk2s...decided they would be too low for DD), so I've got to find time to install that. Threw in a set of All Season mats and boxed up the Si mats for now. Got the PIAA Xtreme White 9005 and 9006 bulbs in, but again, not installed yet. Also, ordered the DBA 4000 series slotted rotors for the front and Hawk 'F' compound pads for all four yesterday.
I've been planning out a stereo upgrade, and finally located a certain 4channel amp on Ebay. Gotta put some funds together for the processor, component speakers, and some misc wiring that I'm short on. So far the system is going to be:
Stock source unit to a RF three sixty.2 processor. RF Power 551x 4ch amp running 2 sets of Alpine Type R (or X) components. RF Power 551S running the subs, most likely 2-10w3v2d4s in the spare tire well (maybe a pair of RF P2 12's). As you can see I'm going to put some old equipment in there with some new stuff too.

thanks. I'll be sure and get pics of the drop and brakes when they go on. Stereo may be a while.
