Invite me over to hang out and we'll talk in person. Or do another game of old school Modern Warfare 2 at 4am again... Bitch!modthesol;276102 wrote:what the fuck happened to your ability to type? oh well, we will have to get into that later.

Thanks guys!

I have to say I really like them but they do have some issues. They're the gen 1 Type 2's so they're pretty old now. One of the front collars is seized so I can't adjust preload and the L/F shock makes noise under compression. This is most likely due to the springs having zero preload when I got them and the collars being over tightened without any kind of anti-seize. I do like that they're easily rebuildable and I can fix the two issues for less than $200.MLRtimeSTL;276083 wrote:Looks good man. How you like your FF? I have had mine for 2 years and they are holding up strong.
I miss when we all used to hang out on a regular basis.99BlackHatch;276124 wrote:Invite me over to hang out and we'll talk in person. Or do another game of old school Modern Warfare 2 at 4am again... Bitch!

A few quick updates.
I bought Trost's Y8 cylinder head from his Vitara build. It has a mild port and polish with Crower valve springs for those that didn't see it on here. I'm hoping to have that installed within the next month or so. I would like to get a Comp 105300 camshaft to go with the new cylinder head before the turbo kit is installed, but we'll see how that goes.
I discovered a crack in one of the SW388's a few days ago. It turned out that it had been cracked and repaired once before. It's currently at Alloy Wheel Repair getting welded again :/
Today I got a proper Y8 distributor and RyWire conversion harness installed as well as my rear camber kit and ITR front lower tie bar.
I'll be at the dyno day coming up to get a baseline before the turbo goes on. I'm hoping for at least 100 WHP. LOL

I was close on my guess. My best pull was 92.8 horsepower at 5850 RPM and 95.8 ft.-lbs. torque at 4400 RPM. Even though it wasn't what I was hoping for, I was very excited to see that the car doesn't smoke now that it's well over the 10k mile mark since the engine was rebuilt.
Besides finally putting a new windshield in the car, nothing else has been done. I'm still stockpiling parts for the turbo setup.

Looks like it'll be a decent start.
Realistically though, for a really low compression motor......the power isn't really that bad. And the torque looks normal for a 1.6.
