First dyno day numbers on Page 8
well after a year in the making i finally got to the point that i can put the turbo kit on the EG and finally see if i can make this thing any quicker.
kit consist of:
HF manifold
14b turbo with ported exhaust housing
BMC 14b to hf adapter
450cc injectors
XS power 4" core intercooler
greddy "style" BOV (this will be getting upgraded soon lol)
greddy boost gauge (original white faced with green lettering)
2 1/2" dump
3bar map if needed
the turbo is internally gated to 11psi so i wont be running a MBC for now unless it starts spiking or making more then 11psi with is what the oem map can handle and i don't think the stock y7 rods will like more then that anyways
so here we go:
Everyday N/A

off comes the header,intake,bumper

off with the oil pan

ok on with the manifold and turbo for first mock up

mock up of the intercooler mounts

mounts bolted in and cut to size now making the holes bigger for the M8 bolts i used to mount it with

intercooler mounted and ready to go

ok now to the feed line which i ran to my Mfactory sandwich adapter from my ls/vtec build , now i have a spot for my oil pressure gauge (also from my ls/vtec build) and my feed line for the turbo

ok the turbo mounted along with the intercooler and some of the charge piping with the BOV mounted also using the oem heat shild for the hf manifold

and thats where i stopped for the night , i still need to modify the charge piping a little more , get a few more couplers (3"-2 1/2"), drill and jb weld the return line fitting in the oil pan then reinstall in, install the injectors and figure out a few other small things and it will be good to go.
ok tonight's update:
-turbo is fully mounted , plumbed and ready to go
-Intercooler is fully mounted and all the intercooler piping is on mounted and t-bolted
-450cc DSM injectors are in with no leaks.. just have to put the resistors in
-bumper cut to fit intercooler correctly
-BOV hooked up
-oil pan tapped and back on, drainline hooked up, oil changed and ready to go
left to do wire in resistors, hook up boost and oiil pressure gauges, find on temp soft pipe till i get it to htp for on charge pipe and a full downpipe, put a base map on and start it up. also finish cutting the front bumper support reinstall it and put the bumper back on.

once i get the car done i will be getting the charge pipes welded up to eliminate alot of the couplers (it will only be three pipes not 7) then i will be repainting them and finishing alot of the eye candy things of the build but till then this is just to get the kit on the car and get it to htp
well time for a update ....
the score so far is 3 headgaskets and one motor lol, burnt up a piston and it did ALOT more damage then i originally thout SO.. looks like the built motor is going in ALOT faster then i originally planned so .... here are some pictures of the carnage and of my stupidity lol
piston damage

block damage

ok so built motor will be a little bit still so i decided to but something together out of the parts i have in my garage .. which we shall call Frankinmotor
ok frankenmotor is in and running , Thanks Rob for the help last night.
let me explain what frankinmotor is first :
well it's obvious from the pics that the y7 bottom was toast without some machine work, and my y8 i pulled from my ek has a spun rod bearing but perfect rings and cylinder walls. So i pulled the good crank, bearings, oil pump, water pump, mains, oil pick up and y7 oil pan and swapped all of that into the y8 block to make one "good" running motor.
i also swapped clutches because mine was about to explode, it started to come apart like dales. I guess the turbo was too much for the oem exedy replacement clutch lol so i am using a act 6-puck right now. I also flushed my clutch line because the fluid was NASTY , black and nasty smelling ...but it's all new and clean now and the clutch works so much better. While the car was down i also redid my wiring harness and relocated a cpl things and eliminated some brackets, i need to finish a few more things but it cleaned up the bay alot. I finally installed my GSR front sway bar also .. i figured 4 months was long enough to wait lol
i need to fill the tranny and put coolant in it and then switch base maps
but here are sum pictures
the bottom end installed waiting on the head:

My redid wiring harness:

the head back on and the motor ready to go:

Old Nasty break fluid from the clutch line:

And new stuff ..ah much better:

thanks for lookin
