that car ran strong to 180k it was the non turbo with the 420a motor, didnt leak oil, didnt burn oil, ran like a champ untill the day i got rid of it

idk i was gonna look for a gsx or gst but once every shop and person ive talked to said that they blow motors left and right in them i then stopped liking them.

a woman killed it back in Feb. someone bought it off here shortly after and fixed it up.

was it a GS or RS? the RS had the 420a and GS has the 4g63 i thought.

they are decent if you take care of them and dont run the balls off them. if you dont want crank walk you're better off with a 1g, or at least a 6bolt motor. 7bolts are notorious for crank walk. i plan on buying a 2g gsx in a few months. if i can find one in decent condition that is. and i've never heard of them blowing motors left and right. most of my friends have/had a dsm and they treated them right for the most part. i've seen one tranny go, and one crank angle sensor go.

Nope, the ONLY 2g DSM with the 4G63t was the TSi, GSX, and GST.

I had a '97 Talon when I was in highschool. I miss that car sometimes, it was fun.

ya, but i was talking about the 4g63. not 4g63t

edit: i was wrong. the GS had the 420a as well.
