I don't know if I was speed reading, or if it's just my inability to pay attention to detail but I just noticed you're in the Guard, witch is really funny because I'll be joining this week, so I guess we'll be seeing each other at work. I'll be the tall kid who has no idea what's going on. One more thing what department do you work in(i guess I'm assuming you work at Scott), I'll try to swing by and introduce myself eventually.

So your joining this week as what career AFSC? im a cop. il will be at building 5010 on drill weekends if we arent out shooting or something.

so are you going to be a student for a while or do you leave for basic soon?

Ya i actually just went to the recruiter's today and go for my physical and ASVAB on the 3rd of Dec. As far as a carrier it's what ever has the bonuses when I get to the point of choosing one because I need the money ASAP, but eventually I'll go over to comm. to help my major(graphic design). I'm going to be staying in school this upcoming spring and most likely will be going to basic and tech school the following summer/fall. As far as being a cop, I've already been down that road as far as going to school for it and it's just not for me. But anyway I should be out sometime in Dec. for a visit.

i wouldnt pick a job based on a bonus, that would be a huge huge mistake.
firstly, you wil learn to dislike the military because you arnet happy,
and i dont know what the recruiter told you, but i WILL let you know that you wont be getting ANY money asap. you get it broken up over your whole enlistment. for Ex i get 10 grand for a signon bonus. i didnt see a penny untill i got back from training( one year after i signed), and i am just now getting my second installment. the next few years over the summers i will get small portions.
just DONT dont dont join based on money.
