What are your plans for the car?
To correctly relocate you battery its going to cost about $100 to half ass it in a vented boat box with audio cable and no fuse(or breaker) it costs $12

my plans are just simple stuff, intake, header, just basic stuff and maybe more later but im in college now so i have to take it easy.

have you seen the odessey battery relocator kit on password jdm? thats what i had in mind, i dont want it in the back of my car, i dont have the cargo cover thing back there so i would see it all the time and i would hate that.

theres also a write up i saw where they relocated it to the toolbox thing right behind the seat, in one of the trays, which wouldnt be that bad, but i would have to spend money getting an odessey battery for that also...so i would have to wait on the intake if i buy an expensive drycell...

Because you give bad advise? Any $12 battery relocation is not going to be safe. Sorry for pointing out your half ass work. If you don't mind please prove me wrong and post your parts list with prices.

I didn't give him bad advise. I paid $12 because I had the hook up with other friends to get the parts for free. The only thing I paid for was my battery box, which is bolted and strapped down to the car. I'm using 4 gauge wire throughout the car and it is fused. Seems like the typical proper battery relocation to me. And the person I had install everything doesn't do half ass work.

So that does not mean he has the same hook ups. Sure it cost you $12 but it wont cost the average person the same. This makes people go out thinking that they can do this for cheap to come back with a much higher bill than excepted.

A good kit would use 2 gauge or bigger and an equal size ground. The box needs to be firmly bolted using Grade A hardware. The box needs to be sealed(or sealed and vented outside the car) even if you are running an optima or other dry cell design. Inline with your power line you ether need a fuse block or breaker(fuse/breaker size depending on your car's needs). Not required but recommended is a distributor block under the hood for the power line. All using ring terminals for connections.
