yes we make exhausts, and its to your liking where other companies just make one or two kinds, You can have traditional dual, single out no muffler (like me) catless, high flow cat, choice of big or small resonator, "jdm" style cock muffler (gayhand) and so on. and you can have it powdercoated silver or black, black actually looks pretty sick.STLracerX;85476 wrote:I've been to JMB's about 3 times now. I didn't know you guys make exhaust systems. I've been pretty happy with the reviews I've read over your parts. I will say that I wouldn't be saving too much money buying your parts over other manufactures. In some cases, I'll be spending more. Ex. Catch can & intake. Now granite, I like your design the paint you guys use and am willing to pay a little extra for that. I'm pretty new to the SRT's and am still researching quite a bit. I don't have the money for that whole list yet so it's buying me some time to see what setup I want to go with. Thanks for the advice, and I'm more than positive that I'll see you soon at your shop.
and btw, AGP = $700+ vs. MPx $400. The only thing I would be saving is the stage 1 computer. Not much of a savings. I think I'd rather have a full stage 2 kit. I just believe there's a reason for having a stage 1, 2, 3. And there's also a reason why Stage 1's aren't 300+ hp out of the box.
well justing puts alot of time and work into his products and its the reason he has me come in whenever Im not in school or at my full time job, has a guy down there full time, and somehow keeps himself and his father busy with 12+ hour days. And yes, our powdercoating that justins dad does with his business MB3 spectrum is 2nd to none in my opinion.
as far as the intercoolers are concerned, there is a reason for the price difference. You pay for what you get, I believe the 700 dollar one is 600 now, but I could be wrong, but the deal with that is the biggest best AGP has is a huge core and is used for the hardcore builds above 500 hp. For what you are talking you can eek by with the stock intercooler to be truthful, but as far as Im concerned I wouldnt mess with anything other then the AGP, I have seen inside shots of the end tanks of these and other 400 dollar ish intercoolers and there is often slag from whoever built it welding too hot leaving beads of hardly connected loose metal that can eventually make its way up your cold pipe and into your motor, in addition to that there are alot of structure issues with the cheaper intercoolers like end tanks cracking and such. but hey, its your money bro.
and like I stated before, the set up I said was 300 hp, the s2 set up is usually about 260 ish and costs about the same. And stage one really isnt a horsepower add on, s1 is used for guys going the route of a piggy back and or a bigger turbo, s1 ignores if you remove the cat while s0 will throw a code, gets rid of gear dependant boost at low gears (who needs that crap when you get real tires) and plays with timing a bit. justin is selling a s3 kit that would get you at and over your goals that you would be very happy with, I would call him and talk to him about it some. As time goes on you will shy away from the kits that mopar makes and realize that not only do the dealers give you heat if you come in for repairs but the kits are made for the "dummies" out there that just want a quick safe bolt on and go power which is great for some, look at the stage 3 kit, with street tires guys go low 12's, but when its all said and done you can make more power with something different. The kits just remind me of something a 40 year old guy that doesnt know anything about cars would buy, but hey, thats me.
