progress on the hatch

Post by orange94hatch »

ok well after a few setbacks from saturday night some progress was made on my hatch here are some before and after picture of the car. im not the best at taking pictures and i dunno if i even posted them right so if they dont work just let me know.

pic of motor still in car ready to be pulled

right after washing the engine bay ready to be painted

right after painting

this would be the minor set back i was talking about. this is where the reverse/5th gear rod pushes out their is suppose to be part of the case the caps this off. this is the reason my reverse did not work. HTP cut this so the motor would clear the fraim rail. another wonderfull aspect of htp screwing me.

here is a picture showing the piece that was cut off hitting the fraim rail.(picture is taken upside down)

well thats pretty much it right now. the motor is back in the car right now. so some progress was made. but i got a new transmission on the car. so the h22 trans is sitting in the garage and i picked up an h23 trans to get the car running and driving from chad. more pics and updates to come soon.

yea for progress, and that thing really was not that hard to put in there .. what 10 min once we got the motor high enuff on the hoist.

other then the frame rail issue which should have been been notched and done correctly by htp the motor fits great
