88 lude 4ws-then and now

Post by RSXSLVR79 »

Since most of you have now seen the lude, here is a documentation of all the stuff i have done to the car to bring it back to more stock condition along with some old pics of my first 4ws lude back in 1998(laugh all you want!)

ok, lets start with the car when i got it back in early august:

Me and the car:

Image

old carpet-what a joke! also the old rear seat bolster

Image

new seat bolster

Image

old clock

Image

New clock with button cover(its a big deal on prelude power to have one of these!)

Image

old fake chrome wheels

Image

primed and bronze painted wheel:

old chipped center tail light:

New one on car from a junked 89 at speedway:

Car as it sits:

non-picture documented deletes and changes:
the car had an aftermarket moonroof visor-looked really bad
new spark plugs(denso)
oem wires3
Oem cap an rotor
replaced trunk carpet
tail light trunk covers(all 3)
deleted a bunch of sub wires-probably 5 pounds worth!
primed and painted the window trim-it was all showing chrome
primed and painted windshield wiper arms

The car still has a few issues(wiring) which is the next step.

Still debating to turbo it or H22 swap(i maybe looking at a donor 92 lude this week with a JDM H22)

Ok, here is the fun part-pics of my first lude!

prelude in early 1998 with rust showing on quarters and front fender:

pics of the car the day it came out of the paint shop in june 1998(with me trying to look all tough HA!)

Now the progress continues! Its great to have a project car!

hell yeah, it does. Really clean for its age.

I've always wanted to autocross one of those 4WS models...

Again I love your prelude. Don't be ashamed of the old pics. I'm glad I don't have any pics of my old prelude, not pretty, pretty much rice, chrome hubcap and stickers.
