Rick does great work on welding, he did my down pipe and it was pretty and affordable.

Also the downpipe is 90% done.

It was a little pain in the a**.....but everything is fitting nice. Most all the piping/components have at least a quarter inch of clearance.

Here is the dump tube for the wastegate

The wastegate itself...it should have decent boost control seeing that when the wastegate is open it shouldn't have a problem venting pressure out.

Here is the dump tube installed. I will be rerouting back into the exhaust this time around.

Here is an angle on the downpipe. You can see a brace on the upper left that will support the turbo. As well as a mounting point for the downpipe on the right side. And flexes all around it. The downpipe under the oil pan is very solid.

Image

Here you can see the flex for the wategate tube....and the exhaust that runs to the back of the car....and then the 3" running to the cutout. It looks that even when the cutout is open, the wastegate dump should flow out the back of the car, and not interfere with the 3" pipe's flow.

Last pic is of the rear downpipe mount. 3/16" strap welded to a 3/4" bar, which is threaded for a bolt.

It is a weird downpipe, indeed.

Thanks for all the comments. I wish I could have this car done sooner....I'm tired of driving the slow dd all the time. A little closer though.

I'm going to try and make this fit on the inside. I always liked the rsx dash setup. It is more driver focused.

I have gotten everything to work on it except for the coolant needle. Coolant needles in hondas are worthless anyway, I'll use a tunerview to monitor the ect.

And bring on them azn jokes.
