Awesome stuff, where the hell did he find a valve spring compressor like that. I can't find any that work with the head still being on.

That looks like the generic spring compressor. If you want to do it with the head on you have to bring that piston to TDC in case you drop the valve, then be very careful pulling off the retainers.

here is the valve spring tool i use...

doesn't hurt the hands at all

Well its all finished so im sure he wont be needing that tool on his car again lol.
