Oil Filter
Usually if it is a double gasket issue it will show itself right away... This took almost a week to happen. But thanks for the info.miamida9;51374 wrote:just some FYI: when i worked at my acura dealership back home there was a problem with the oil filters being double gasketed meaning the gasket from the old filter would stick to the block and when you put the new one on it would eventually piss oil, eventually catching the cat or header and catching fire. with that said are you willing to trade those seats for some corbeau forza II's??

FYI: I had a fram filter on my R and it blew up internally, the spring inside the filter couldn't handle the awesomeness of VTEC and the spring blew out and created a bunch of problems. Don't ever buy a Fram filter, biggest pieces of shit! It's worth the extra $5 to buy the Mobil 1 or something of that nature. Sorry to hear about the s2k.

My dad did and now hes feel really bad it wasnt double gasketed. Theres a possibility that it wasn't on tight enough or just the filter blew. But whatever happened it took a week to do.m6speed;52094 wrote:who changed the oil on it?

Oh thats no good, tell him its just a car, and can be replaced, not a persons life. You always have to remember things happen for a reason. Maybe if that didnt happen something WORSE could have happened 2 days later and that would have sucked more!soundqjr;52096 wrote:My dad did and now hes feel really bad it wasnt double gasketed.
