Well Duane has a guy coming this weekend to look at it. He's going to give us his opinion on if it's worth fixing. But I really think I'll have to part her out. Or if the offer is right sell the whole car. I wil be keeping something out of her just for memories!!! Who knows maybe I'll trade AJ something I want from him for the steering wheel!!!
Thanks everyone for your comments. It was a very fun car and hopefully one day I'll get another S2K!

Well the oil filter was the culprit. The gasket apparently failed or blew out.bildo16;50968 wrote:man ifit was that oil filter, it wouldnt be recognizable, it would be crispy, that battery looks pretty crispy, did the car have subs?

Also-
For anyone interested.... I will probably part the car out. If you need or want anything just shoot me a message and an offer. I've done some research on the parts this weekend and have a pretty good idea of what I want to get for some of them. A couple of items I may keep myself if I can't get what I what for them. i.e.- the seats.... I love them!!! (At least I could still feel like I was sitting in an S2000!!!) I still can't believe it's gone!!!
Well gotta get back to work and see some of you at the movies!!!!

As soon as I seen that it had a FRAM filter in the pic I knew thats what it was. The S2000 will be missed I still remember the first day I seen it. Cant wait for the next ride!xtremesq;51312 wrote:Well the oil filter was the culprit. The gasket apparently failed or blew out.

just some FYI: when i worked at my acura dealership back home there was a problem with the oil filters being double gasketed meaning the gasket from the old filter would stick to the block and when you put the new one on it would eventually piss oil, eventually catching the cat or header and catching fire. with that said are you willing to trade those seats for some corbeau forza II's??

My mom has prices for everything she wants. Also I doubt it was double gasketed, we think it just blew from looking at it. Ill ask and see but can you pm me pics of said seats?miamida9;51374 wrote:just some FYI: when i worked at my acura dealership back home there was a problem with the oil filters being double gasketed meaning the gasket from the old filter would stick to the block and when you put the new one on it would eventually piss oil, eventually catching the cat or header and catching fire. with that said are you willing to trade those seats for some corbeau forza II's??
