I like this sorta thing, Now its gonna come back out faster and stronger...Also that valve cover looks good on there, while your tearing down you should clean the engine bay and flat black it then flat black the car cause then it would look even tougher if ya ask me.

Sucks to hear it went down but good to hear your getting it back together alot faster.

Hell no, don't do that. If anything spray the bay with some gloss black and clear! If you flat black it you will regret it later.

Rebuild info thus far...

B18C1 block... It will be stock for now, since I don't want to have Chris' spare B16 block for too long... I'm more than willing to buy the upgraded parts and tear it all down again for this to be done.

Flat Blacking will happen. I'm sick of worrying about rock chips and scratches and all that bullshit for this car. This car will eventually be the track / street car for fun. The other car, whatever I decide to buy, will be the cleaner one.

As for the engine bay... flat blacking that would not be a smart idea. :tusk:

A few more updates. I tore into the head tonight... I was impressed with how clean the motor was. I didn't clean a single thing. Looks good to me.

After the valve cover removal...

Top forward view...

Removal of the cam cover plate bolts... Work your way from the inside out...

Cam covers removed...

Cams, dizzy, cam gears removed...

Thats all for tonight...
