Plus why spend the extra $$ when I got a pretty good swap sitting in it already that I didn't have to pay for. :drive:

due to the difference in deck height, would you need to change to a different timing belt?? because most d series combos use different timing belts...

just a thought on your idle issue

whenever you do a mini me swap on a d15 its a good idea to get an adjustable cam gear. if you install a z6 head on a d15 bottom end the timing marks will be off about 4.5 degrees this can cause idling issues not to mention timing issues. i have heard a y7 cam gear fixes theses issues also. yes, a different timing belt is required either a y8 or z6 belt....

stolle your correct on the timeing gear issue, when chris got the car it had a adj cam gear on the d15 so when i swapped the heads to the d16 i also swapped the cam gear. this way i had adjustability to help get the timing correct, but after spending a hr adjusting the cam gear i was never able to make the idle issue any better but i finally got a map code out of the ecu so i am going to try that next.

i was able to reuse the (brand new) d15 belt with the z6 head, the belt is a 223 and the z6 belt is a 224, technially either one would work but since the 223 is recommended i just stayed with that.
