time is money, id rather spend the time restubbing it then trying to line up something wrecked and wrinkled, hes doin it himself so i highly doubt he has the tools to straighten it up to where things will line up fine99preludesh;10543 wrote:I have seen worse that has been pulled, thats not even bad compared to what some shops get. Im just confused how that would be rigging it, if you pull the propper way, then its done correctly.
And I didnt have a problem with your opinion I'm just giving him some advice and most likely saving him money.

Its a project its supposed to take time. If he doesn't have the tools to pull it then im quite sure he doesn't have the tools to replace the entire front end.deetz;10545 wrote:time is money, id rather spend the time restubbing it then trying to line up something wrecked and wrinkled, hes doin it himself so i highly doubt he has the tools to straighten it up to where things will line up fine
And replacing the front end you take more of a risk trying to fit everything up perfectly, because you have to be so perfect on your cuts and welds, measure about a million times as well.

thanks for the comments guys, as far as the motor (silverstreak02 question), i'm not sure yet. I might put my ls/vtec motor in it and give it a sex change/5 speed conversion. don't know yet cause i just got the ls/vtec turbo working in my integra. might just keep this as my daily driver for a while.
as far as the frame, my brother works at a body shop and has looked at it and said nothing seems to be out of line. the girl that wrecked it hit an older explorer, and went under it, so all the damage was done above the bumper. we do have all the tools to pull on it if we needed to, but he's been doing this for a while, so i believe him when he says we don't need to.
