Lol everyone on the FR-S/BR-Z bandwagon, they dont even make anywhere near the advertised hp. I don't think a supercharged cr-z would have a problem keeping up plus better gas milage. But different strokes different folks.

One thing I will add about the FR-S/BR-Z is that I thought I've seen someone mention that they run richer than most cars stock. Unfortunately I can't find the dyno graph from the forum this was on atm.
So that could give them decent room for more power with bolt-ons. But still, I get your point completely GreyTeg.
I applaud Toyota and Subaru for making the car, as the public needed another car like this. However the engine, to me, is a total compromise for the fact that a small-displacement turbo engine couldn't be put in there without initial cost being too high. It's kind of like the situation with the new Focus, where only the 160 (advertised) hp 2.0L GDI is offered here, even though the proper engine would have been the 1.6L Ecoboost (which also includes better transmission options). But they figured (correctly I'm sure) that there wouldn't be enough American's wanting to pay extra for the engine.
Also, I thought you still couldn't get one of those for for 26k with how fast they are selling?

It depends. The scion will sell at sticker (supposed to anyway) cause the dealers aren't supposed to mark them up. The subaru is also going for close to sticker (from what I could find anyway). But, good luck finding a dealer that has an extra in stock that isn't already spoken for. Right now, they're still filling the orders that were placed, and I was told that there were waiting lists 5-10 people deep for cars that people backed out of buying.Bwill9886;299740 wrote:One thing I will add about the FR-S/BR-Z is that I thought I've seen someone mention that they run richer than most cars stock. I think FR-S/BRZ looks better than the CRZ. More aggressive lines and styling

Ah yea, I forgot that's how Scion works.Devilchrono;299746 wrote:It depends. The scion will sell at sticker (supposed to anyway) cause the dealers aren't supposed to mark them up. And I'd heard there was a wait list, which is why I was wondering if any BR-Z's were going for anywhere close to sticker.

I went to look at a white FR-S before I bought my GTI. Got to the dealer and asked about it cause I didn't see it on the lot and they finally told me it was sold already as it was an ordered car, they just listed it on the website to bring people in. I was pretty bummed cause I wanted to drive it and was gonna buy it. They then told me there was a waiting list and getting one of either brand was going to be extremely difficult for some time. They at least let me look around it though and inside it and I'm honestly happier with the GTI, that thing looked really cramped inside.Bwill9886;299863 wrote:Ah yea, I forgot that's how Scion works.
