I'd seriously look at getting a new 5.0 over a Camaro any day of the week. There's a reason you see so many of them on used car lots with not a ton of miles on them, the driving positions not that great, the visibility sucks and it's a heavy boat. The new Mustang is lighter, handles better and is much faster and a little cheaper to mod. There's new 6spd autos running in the 10's with very little into them on a sticky tire.
Now, that being said, I would NEVER own another sports car like that for a daily. After driving them for 10+ years as your only car fucking sucks. Take it for what it's worth

Yeah wish you still had the vette lol, I'd be ready to get it from ya. I figured I'll pay on the cobalt still and reevaluate what I'd wanna do at a later time. I really did wanna get the car I found, but then again I'd be taking a 2500-3000$ hit on the cobalt and end up with a 2010 Camaro 2SS with stock ground effects and 25k miles. That and I've got a bike to pay on as well.Devilchrono;299051 wrote:I'd seriously look at getting a new 5.0 over a Camaro any day of the week. Again, it was fun to blast through the twisties in, but it did suck driving it every day, especially when it got to the colder months.sirricealot;299053 wrote:Yeah wish you still had the vette lol, I'd be ready to get it from ya. With it getting towards fall now, I'd just stick with what you've got for now and give some serious thought about what to do. Go test drive a few and you'll see what you actually like and what you can deal with from each and then pick something up in the spring if you still want that type of a car

Wait until January to buy a new car. You may not be able to use it as much right off the batt(unless this winter is like the last one), but dealers will be more eager to make the sale.

I would keep your cobalt man that camaro wont be worth it. I'm a purchase agent for a local used car dealership and i can tell you that there are 2 kinds of used cars 1. the ones that look like good deals but have had the piss ran out of them there entire lives and are close to a major component going out and the dealer is trying to move it or 2. or if the car is good its marked up over usually 3k-5k for large dealerships or 2k-3k for small dealerships. I dont currently know what auction value is for a 2010 camaro but an easy rule of thumb to get close to knowing what the dealer paid for it look at kbb look at the trade in value in rough condition and subtract usually 1-2k and thats what a dealer paid and as far as selling your cobalt goes do it privet seller no dealer will give you 12 k for it. Now if after all this you still wanna camaro remember this 99.9% of the time a car LOSES value so by the time your loan is up on your camaro its worth 1/2 of what you paid for it.But if you save your money and buy a house even after a 30 year loan as long as you dont let the house get run down and keep it nice youll make profit off of it it will usually end up being worth more than what you paid for it. so in the end screw the mid life crisis keep the cobalt and save your money and buy a house!

I'd buy a house but my credit is not-a-so-good

last time i checked a cobalt wasnt a rare high end car that increases in value the longer its around. or are you saying its worth more than you owe on it? big difference.

no it literally went up in value since i've had it. From when I got the loan until now the nada guide increased its value by about $1000.HardCore97;299214 wrote:last time i checked a cobalt wasnt a rare high end car that increases in value the longer its around. or are you saying its worth more than you owe on it? big difference.
