Safe psi?
So many LOL's.
Doing it right won't be cheap. IMO.
Shouldn't look at it as a safe "psi" but how much the stock engine can handle, personally wouldn't go over 300hp in a stock bottom end.

Safe psi?
My recommendation is to rebuild the engine for boost. Don't shortchange urself and expect to spend some $$jack. Listen to the other moderators on HP goals as opposed to PSI.
I just completed a turbo build on my h22 lude. I tried the lowest spring setting 8lbs... first dyno run, blew my rings... knowing there is a slim chance that stock engine can run maintain it's integrity...it didn't. Rebuilt lower/upper engine know i run low boost daily, then full boost (switch) hondata controlled when attempting to get a little crazier. 325whp.
You should check out superhonda.com forum for some great research on boosting your car. I even think they have one for the gsr.
