i was just about to make this thread

all your answers are correct

my opinion one reason noone wants to put alot of money and time into a car that people are just going to hate and nit pick on. people used to appriciate each others cars no matter what was done to them. but ever since the "hellaflush fad" came along it seemed like your car wasnt shit unless you had low offset expensive wheels and were rediculously low. dont get me wrong i appriciate any nicely done car. people stoped caring about going fast and worried about how their cars looked in a parking spot. /rant

the reason i have not done aything is i dont have any friends ont his site except 1 that wants to hang out and im home 2 days a month.
so far behind im ahead of the pack.

-people get in over their heads
-people looses intrest because all projects are on jacks
-people want to spend time with family

Even tho most of you dont know me, I had been around the game for a while too. Id agree with rick and the other guys about how cruiese are no longer really that. I feel like the current car guys are kind of pompous b holes sometimes and I dont really respect the community of kids who dont follow the built not bought rule. Ive been out for a while too due to getting married, I sold my drag car to pay for the wedding, now we are saving for a house, buying a disney vacation club time share for our future children, and the wife wants a nice tdi audi since shes got a baller job now. I have slowly bought equipment for a nice garage so when get my own home, Ill have a nice garage setup. Life is good, we all need to appreciate the fact that we are all fortunate enough to be able to mod cars.
back in a nissan bitches...........

People like this kept me away when I had a nice car. I just have no desire to associate with people with this kind of shitty attitude. Get over yourself already, you're nothing special either kid.

btw, it's "joe schmoe"
local asshole (apparently)

I've been on this site for quite a few years, posting up here and there but have never been to an organized meet from this site. I'm 23 so I'd like to think I'm not a kid but understand people are older and do have the families but if you read through these posts it's either the OG members blaming it on the newer, younger crowd or it's the younger guys asking the older ones why anything isn't helping...or money/time/car's on jackstands excuses. Either way pointing fingers isn't going to help get a big meet going. I remember joining up and posting looking to meet some cool people that have the same interest, cars. I could careless if it's an import or domestic but if someone truely enjoys vehicles then they'll appreciate any make/model. Instead some people from this site were hot headed and pushed me away from trying to be active and instead I'm like others and just work on the cars with friends and have a good time doing it. People are quick to judge these days and it ruined this websites' scene for me for a few years. Either way this is STL hondas....we all have the common ground of enjoying cars in the STL area. Lets leave it at that and push the differences aside. It'd be cool to get a meet going;river road and cuise/grill, somewhere in stl...the area we live in has some pretty scenic routes and we just have to say a time and place and hopefully people will show up.
