I think it should be good as long as the paint doesn't have a ton of gloss. What kind of curtains you got for those windows to block the sun?

the paint was flat there will be no gloss in the room what so ever. the windows will be tinted with 25% with regular blinds in them and my friends mom is making me some curtains that go from the top to the bottom of the wall and light can not go threw them so they should be good.

major update 4/16

i devoted my whole weekend to this room and it really showed. saturday morning started with the 6 can lights being installed. i have never put those up and it was fairly easy and straight forward. i went with dimmable 100 watt equivalant cfl's that use 23 watts and they are super bright. the lutron infared dimmer switch i wanted is not compatible with cfl's or led's and i was pissed so they are hooked up to a regular switch for now. after those were installed i had some light so i could start cutting the speaker holes with the same tool i bought for the lights, it was just an adjustable hole scribber i got at home depot for 10 bucks then i used a drywall saw to cut the rest out. so the holes were cut the speakers fit in so i decided to paint the speakers to match the walls quite simply the best part of the room i think. at the same time i finally am able to put some color on the walls. i went with this green called promenade in an eggshell from behr. i love it. that took up most of my Saturday and a portion of Sunday. i had a solo autocross event on Sunday morning but as soon as i got home i installed the speakers in the ceiling and front walls touched up the edges of the paint on the walls did another cleaning of the bar as dust and stuff is still there after i have swept a million times. i let the paint dry and the impulse in me took over i had to hook everything up to see how it sounded and the projector and everything performed. it worked flawlessly. i refused to hook up my new reciever/dvd player/ etc so i stole my old p.o.s. denon from my room that my sub out is broken and only transmits a weak signal from 7ch stereo. found one of my old regular dvd players and threw in transformers in regular definition. yuck i really hate that reciever no bass from my lil polk sub in corellation with speakers not calibrated sounded just blah every once in a while it would sound spectacular but i believe once the new reciever gets put in and im able to adjust everything it will sound really good. while the movie was playing i finally got to put up my 7 foot mirror behind my bar it will get a frame around it later. so exciting.

started working on the face of my bar. i wanted to go stone but it was just so expensive so i decided to just go with this. i think it turned out really good and will look even better when its stained.

also started working on framing out a better opening for the new garage door. i originally bought a 10x10 garage door because thats what that big slidding door is. butttt after looking i think i am going to go with a 16x10 door lol

progress is slow going now all the money i had saved up is now going towards fixing the ac in my house. compressor i believe shorted out so looks like it has to be replaced hooray... but i did get to work a little on it i got the lights underneath the bar all done. i did them with the chep rope light you get from home depot. i think it turned out awesome. i also got the closets up, what a pita that was by myself. i had to cut off an inch off the bottom and reglue a strip so it could have the anchor swivel deal at the bottom. i also picked up the fooseball table this thing is freaking awesome. it is a tornado whirlwind table with upgraded guys and upgraded wooden grips. i have always wanted one since i was in middle school when i used to play at the local skating rink, its already coming back to me and i am schooling anyonewho dares challenges me.
