show your home networks

thought it would be interesting to see what everybody else has going on. heres my "panel".

wrt54g ver1 and wrt54g ver2.2, both running dd-wrt, the one on the left is just being used as a switch, cisco docsis 3.0 cable modem speed is around 13mbps down and 3mbps up. i have no land line just a magic jack back fed into the house wiring. there is also a dell inspiron 531s running ubuntu server 10.04.3, im hosting websites an icecast server and a freaking cool program called subsonic that lets me stream my music and movies anywhere i want, it also has shared media storage for all the pc's on the network. also have an htpc with a tuner card, running media portal that alows me to watch live tv on any pc on the network.

post up what you got im trying to get some ideas to add to mine or make it better.

Do you have an form of a "Domain"?

Also, Looks like you're probably running wired to all workstations? My entire setup is Wireless - N so I wondered if you have aspirations to move away from Wireless-G?
Like for me, using my tablet and phone on the wireless... I'd have a 1st world Problem with going back to G

the G is fine for what i do, the only things that are wireless in the house are a netbook an ipad and the wii i dont transfer large files between them all they are used for is internet and netflix so the G works fine. i got both the routers for free so im not really complaining, have no plans to go to N, im poor, lol. all others are hard wired htpc, xbox, 2 xp workstations, ubuntu server, ubuntu workstation located in the garage, i would really like a nice 16 port gigabit switch though, that would be nice.

Are you just using workstations and Workgroups
Or are us using Novell (LOL) Windows Server, or something else to manage your clients. You answered this question tho when you listed out what was on the network

haha, yeah i didnt know if you meant an internal domain or web domain. :embarass:

I'd show you my network but it's invisible, as everything on it is Wireless.
